Mangalore Biotech Laboratory is a premier Biotech Laboratory founded and promoted by the world renowned microbiologist and biotechnologist Prof. Dr. P. Tauro. After serving as Professor of Eminence of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) for nearly two decades, Prof. Tauro came to Mangalore as Emeritus Professor of ICAR at the University of Agricultural Sciences, College of Fisheries, Mangalore.
Mangalore Biotech Laboratory was established in 1998, initially to provide high tech diagnostic service based on molecular diagnostics to Medical, Veterinary and Aquaculture professionals. Mangalore Biotech Laboratory include a manufacturing facility at Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board, Industrial Estate, Baikampady, Mangalore. In this facility biotech products for health management in aquaculture are being produced.
